Re: GEAR HUNT
23Does anybody have an active 2-way stereo crossover they want to get rid of?
Our practice room has an absurd array of stereo speakers + two tiny tweeters + two idle bass cabs hooked up (via two power amps) to the stereo.
I thought some cheap DJ crossover might be useful to fine-tune to lows/highs.
I've never used one before. I guess it could either be useless or suitably absurd.

24Correction: I have a BBE Max X-2 I would let go for cheap.Teacher's Pet wrote: Tue May 24, 2022 1:13 pm Does anybody have an active 2-way stereo crossover they want to get rid of?

PM me if you're interested?
Re: GEAR HUNT
25Anybody got a Mustang or parts of a Mustang they'd be interested in selling? Can be totally thrashed. Not really interested in the Squier HH version with the hardail bridge, but a Classic Vibe or Vintage Mod would be great. Or an overseas copy. Just a neck or a body? That's awesome too. Hit me up. I've got some ideas for a project but I don't really want to shell out three hundo for a used Classic Vibe just to bang on it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

26I was curious to try experimenting with a DIY outboard spring reverb project -- does anybody have a spare reverb tank sitting around that they'd like to part with?
Re: GEAR HUNT
27I have one called "CASCADE REVERBERATION DEVICE" that looks ok and you're welcome to. I also have a long and short Accutronics tanks but one is missing a spring and the connectors need some attention. Lemme know what you want, you can have them for the cost of shipping.Teacher's Pet wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 11:38 am I was curious to try experimenting with a DIY outboard spring reverb project -- does anybody have a spare reverb tank sitting around that they'd like to part with?
Re: GEAR HUNT
28I'm looking for a pair of sides for an 80s 400RB. I think maybe the 2 early versions were different depths, I have the (first?) version with a hardwired cord, the 10dB pad switch underneath the input jack and the boost footswitch jack at the far right of the front panel.
The sides that came with the amp are about an inch too short, as is kind of visible at the left front and right rear in this pic I took:
(I bought an 800RB from Craigslist and the guy threw in this 400RB that had been his "leave at the practice space and let anyone use" amp, he told me it didn't work, was blowing fuses. When I got the cover off and saw the mouse-chewed Domino's parmesan packet that had possibly been shorting the rectifier, I laughed for a solid 20 seconds. I put a 2A fuse in the empty fuse holder (didn't have any 5A) after removing the cheese packet and it fired right up)
I'm fairly sure these sides are the too-short ones I already have: https://reverb.com/item/72933171-gallie ... lates-caps
At least based on the handle's resemblance to the one on my amp, and its size relative to that side.
Also, do the potentiometers in this amp have a 7mm splined shaft? None of my splined knobs fit.

Re: GEAR HUNT
29You could always cut about an inch off the top and bottom panels to get your existing side panels to fit.
Re: GEAR HUNT
30And I was thinking I had to find somebody with a huge press brake to bend new sides out of some stainless steel sheet I have. I didn't even realize there's nothing attached to the bottom! Outstanding.
