I get it and appreciate critical thinking in this arena but I also believe people, in general, should wear what they want as long as it isn't mocking or inauthentic. To me it sounds like it's not exactly kente cloth or brightly woven African fabrics you wanna rock, it's just a black and white dashiki. How about splitting the difference and sporting a caftan. I want a caftan big time. The ultimate in relaxed luxury.

I agree; $1234.56 is objectively a superior version of a ridiculous price.

Anyway... I set up my hihats a few inches further forward than "typical" so that my hands never actually cross. I do this so I can beat the shit out of the snare while still playing fairly soft on the hats so they don't... overpower... everything. Does that mean I technically play open-handed?

He used to be funny, up through at least Bowfinger.

Some of the big pieces, though, like “King Tut,” were kinda dumb.
First season of 'Only Murders..' was pretty funny, but I got bored with it beyond that. I appreciate that he doesn't always feel the need to be on, the center of attention, etc.

My wife and I have stuck with that show as after work comfort food, although it hasn't been great, just fine. The strangest take away for me is that Martin Short is a better actor than Steve Martin. Maybe I need to revisit The Jerk, I have found memories.
