Olivia Rodrigo - Teenage Dream
who was it that invented this singing style? doing the s's and some vowels in this weird way and tapering off the end of words so that they end in a whisper and doing those sort of yelps at the start of words. know what I mean? it's pretty overused imo.

2405Just discovered this and have fallen in love.
Paavoharju’s “Yha Haamara”:
I am 18 years late to this, but it is fantastic!

2406Yep. You can hear it even in today's commercials.kokorodoko wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 12:15 pm Olivia Rodrigo - Teenage Dream

Annoying.

2409Never heard it before but a few forum people (including FM steve, who recorded it) are talking about it on Blue-y. Cool, slightly shambolic post punk that certainly wasn't hip in the late '80s. Like the missing spiritual link between the Raincoats and Petrillo.

2410Pitchblende - Gygax (1995)
Again on a 'Blende phase.
This third record is so different from the previous two, which are also super different one from another.
They almost go progressive-math-pop-noise here, so awesome.
