I hate the name Vintera.
The gear might actually be ok but I don't know because I'm repulsed by the name.
I know, I'm the jerk and you like your Vintera guitar. We're cool. But...
VINTERA. Blech.

243yeah it doesn't help that they're blasting every input my body has with targeted Vintera ads. I want a 50s radius as much as the next guy, just call it that!ErikG wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2023 3:02 pm I hate the name Vintera.

Re: Gear you HATE
245Any and all "midi" controllers that do not have any Midi connections over 5 pin DIN, and only have USB. For some reason it is getting almost impossible to buy a new controller that has an actual Midi port. I had to buy a box that converts USB to midi for $50. I'll also add that it's dumb that they stopped putting Midi Thru ports on pretty much everything. I also had to buy 2 boxes that take a single Midi signal and give you Thru ports, $50 each. Now I have all these stupid DI sized boxes that need to be powered all over the place. An OUT port is not a THRU port and you need both. If they want to save space fine, give me Midi on an 1/8th inch, but most controllers are 90% empty space, so it's just being shitty.
Re: Gear you HATE
246The cheapest Samson one has DIN. Might as well get the cheapest since they will all break in a year whether you spend $100 or $500. Welcome to the future!Kniferide wrote: Mon Oct 02, 2023 10:06 am Any and all "midi" controllers that do not have any Midi connections over 5 pin DIN, and only have USB.
