(not that it was expensive, just that I have bought too much stuff this year)
That's perfect. That bass should have intercourse with another similar bass and make more of that bass
PRF tech room: where the basses go to fuck.

I just picked up a Sputnik III for an out-of-town friend so it's been sitting on my desk for the past few days; definitely some rad fuzz face sounds to be found with it.
Just tried it out . . . The Charon sounds nice! Well, maybe not "nice" (i.e. polite), but good, yes. One thing that stuck out right away is that, unlike with most dirt boxes, the "Tone" knob is a bass roll-off, and in every position I tried it yielded a useable fuzz tone. In other words, there was no muddy/overly wooly or excessively shrill/unlistenable sound wherever it was set. That was with the gain cranked all of the way up. At lower gain settings the Charon has its applications too.

Looking forward to a rat's nest winter project.

Ah, that sucks. Hopefully you can somehow get your money back.

But at least they included Smurfette and Papa Smurf to round out your new collection.

Three basic Smurfs woulda been insult to injury.

Seller responded very quickly, was extremely apologetic, and I was good natured about it so I think it'll be an easy resolution. MIRACULOUSLY, both packages were shipped to Toronto so the worst case is that I get a car share and go pick it up from the other person.

The seller was like, "the other person should be pretty accommodating - they *really* want those smurfs."

Tempted to take some hostage photos but perhaps that is mean spirited.
