Nah, but given what I mentioned earlier—that a huge share of olive oil is apparently adulterated at best and fake at worst—we’re probably drizzling far less olive oil than we think.
I don't mind an olive-oil based spread on a sandwich.
And apparently a lot of this stuff is bullshit too. Not sure what labeling is like in NZ, but in the states, many of the so-called “olive oil spreads” are just margarine with a dash of olive oil. Check the ingredients, and you’ll often find that the #1 ingredient is actually palm oil.
