This guy wanted to recreate the sound of Albiz' Veleno as used by Kurt Cobain, but he could not afford a Veleno, so he made one. It looks absolutely amazing, and he will make one for you too, but not with the big V headstock.

Re: Home made Veleno?
2Ummmm. Guy did a really good job, not that I know anything about Veleenos.
I still find this guy’s whole deal a little strange. I mean I loved, loved, Nirvana as a pup. I still like those albums. Got me into playing guitar, actually. But I find this guy’s devotion to Kurt-Tone kinda uncomfortable. He even talks about feeling stagnant doing the same riffs video after video.
Yes, In Utero sounds great, and I know folks have obsessed over countless rockstar guitar sounds. That also always seemed kinda lame to me. IDK.

3People spending thousands of dollars and/or hours to tone-zone Nirvana is wild

4Yeah, and some of those sounds he was losing his shit to were like "..really?" Still, pretty cool project, and I hope people take him up on building more.TylerDeadPine wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:13 pm People spending thousands of dollars and/or hours to tone-zone Nirvana is wild

5Totally, its very cool. Machinists need a renaissance in appreciation for their craft. I feel like any day that someone hands me something made out of metal, I should be calling the news.penningtron wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 7:50 amYeah, and some of those sounds he was losing his shit to were like "..really?" 8Huh. There was one there as late as 2022 when I was last there or is that a different one? I doodled around on one several times (respectfully) over the years not really thinking that it could have been worth 50 grand or whatever. Geez, value is a weird thing.
