There’s no way i can afford this at the Moment but wow this is incredible
Yeah, that’s a beautiful guitar and someone better get it fast. The (slightly) more traditional Mosrite guitars he made are the best looking EGCs to me

All right, liquidating for real. Too much stuff in the practice space and what am I doing, just holding onto this stuff until I can buy a house? Why don't I just sell it and get more money FOR A HOUSE. Done, easy, let's go.

Baldwin Exterminator amplifier - $$SOLD$$

HUGE amp. Neil Young uses one for on-stage volume. Already grounded and comes with a schematic. It's a combo and it has 2x15", 2x12", and 2x7" speakers. I did some gigs and made a record with it, so it has served it's purpose for me. In good shape overall, some speakers swapped out, nothing crazy.

Balls Amplification G-50 - $950 OBO

Balls-ed up version of a Marshall 2204 circuit "a number of tweaks to trim out a lot of the brightness that the stock circuit seems to abound with. MagComp iron, Mallory caps, CTS pots, Tung Sol preamp tubes and Mullard EL34s." Sounds great, couple small nicks here and there, but super functional and rock ready. I'm just more of an AC30 person and this is not being used.

Mesa/Boogie 2x12 Vertical Slant Guitar cab - $750 OBO

Awesome cab, closed back, wide enough to fit the Balls head on it w/ ZERO overhang. It's loaded stock w/ Celestion Vintage 30s.

(could work out deal if you take the Balls and Mesa, just ask!)

Traynor TS-200 head and matching cab 9x8" - $850 OBO

I posted about this earlier, but bumping it again. Will throw in bonus broken TS-200 head for parts.

Can provide photos upon request, just ask. All are local pickup in Chicago only - nothing will get shipped.

I have a 1970’s Gibson Grabber (the one with the cool sliding pickup). It works and sounds great in an unusual color. I bought it for a good deal many years ago but a couple months later found my other bass and I’m not really even a bass player so it has always been kinda extra. It’s been in storage since before the pandemic. I have seen the Reverb prices on the rise and I think I’m ready to send it to its next home. The one issue here is that it developed a pretty major split down the body that needs to be re-glued. Although it does not affect playability I think some intervention is warranted. Because of the flaw/damage I really don’t know what to charge and I’m also hesitant to ship so I’ll just take offers for now in case someone has been looking for one.

I also have a Laney RBW300 bass amp, solid state, sounds great, works great clean and loud AF. I bought it to use live with my modular set-up but im going in a different direction and TBH I am not playing out like I thought so it’s just not getting used. It’s a discontinued model thats probably around 15 years old it has a lil horn and an interesting pyramid EQ. Not your run-of-the-mill amp but not really “boutique” quality either. I don’t see many of these online and y’all are way more knowledgeable than me so again I’ll just be taking local offers (no ship-too big).

I am very slowly moving out of my practice space and re-calibrating my musical identity. Most of the gear I have been collecting is on the quirky side so there may be more hot deals going down in the weeks to come…

Thx

ETA im not sure what is up with the image tags. I have trouble with them on my tablet for some reason. The links should work

First amp I ever owned - I still have it too. Gnarly distortion. A different flavor than the Beta Bass - if I had to characterize it in comparison, I guess I'd say it's less "tight" sounding distortion-wise.

Louder than the 100 solid-state watts would suggest. Recommended!

Alright, I'm unloading several pretty cool instruments, including a couple that I just bought recently. I'll explain in the description. Anyway...
Image
1978 Greco EX-800HR Explorer / Hamer Standard style guitar. Modeled after Rick Nielsen's #0000 Hamer Standard. The Maxon U-2000 pickups sound amazing. There is a slight warp on the lower horn area of the body, but it doesn't affect the sound or playability whatsoever. I seriously just got this maybe a month or so ago and I love it. But, the exact same guitar from the same year only in black finish with trapezoid inlays kind of fell into my lap, and I like it just slightly more. So this one goes because I don't need both. Original hard case included. ***SOLD***
Image
70's MIJ Matsumoku-made Rickenbacker 4001 bass copy. Bolt on neck model. Fireglo / sunburst finish. Came with a Ric truss rod cover on it so I have no clue on the brand, but it's probably an Electra, Aria or Univox. Just had it set up and it plays great. No case. ***SOLD***
Image
Gretsch G5420TG Electromatic Limited Edition hollow body. Limited black finish/gold hardware model. Comes with a Vibramate installed on the Bigsby for better tuning stability and easier string changing. Looks brand new. Gretsch hard case with all of the case candy and original strap buttons included. $700.
Image
Epiphone '57 Reissue Limited Edition Custom Shop Les Paul Junior. This is a set neck Junior and it rules. All of the electronics were upgraded (CTS, Sprague, Switchcraft), and the P100 was replaced with a Manlius Hot Howlin' Goat dogear P90 with A5 magnets. Hard case included, along with the stock pickup and some dogear shaped shims for adjusting the P90 height. $550.

PM me if you're interested. I'll ship anywhere in the continental U.S. if the buyer covers the cost. Thanks!

saw this first thing in the AM and have been sweating bullets all day (ok honestly it's because I have a cold) worried that my Rickenbacker is a Rickenfaker.

Seriously, it looks exactly like that but not bolt-on. I know I've had it professionally set up and would have assumed that my guy would have mentioned it but I'm still waiting to get off work to race down in the basement and check under the truss rod cover.
