Dumb band name, but great song.
Sounded New Zealand to me, but they're Canadian.

David Gamson from this band is chief producer of the Hannah Diamond album, so I must have a look.
In comparison, the songcraft here is pretty tame. It's like we have a group of accomplished musicians who can't decide what they want to play, but are good at picking up the elements that "make" a certain sound, so the catalogue is a collection of mostly superficial characteristics from whatever is in rotation at the moment, all the way from mid 80s glossy, brass-heavy funk-disco to late 90s hiphop-infused alt-rock.
No problem with this approach if the result is compositionally interesting - here it isn't so much. With this many recognizable gimmicks the music has to be a little crazier for me to stay. The earliest post-punkish stuff is different but not very compelling either.
"Absolute" is decent tho, with that twinkly playing. Some parts of "Oh Patti" are nice too - you can recognize some instrumentation and melody lines in HD.
