Celine Dion - It's All Coming Back to Me

An always fascinating thing for me is how the same tune can change drastically with different instrumentation, or with differences in recording aesthetic. Similar to how instruments sound very different played together than separately, how tones sound different together...

Anyway I think the song here is very good - could be a Dolly Parton tune with a different arrangement. The "da-daa" at the end of the stanza gets me ("the win-dow", etc.). I do like the way Celine sings this too, it's just a bit much.

Trivia: The song is written by Jim Steinman, who did a bunch of stuff with Meat Loaf. Meat Loaf wanted to sing this originally, but Steinman intended it for his own girlgroup project Pandora's Box (who had one somewhat interesting but crappy album called Original Sin in 1989).
