Fingernails. Was OK. Felt kinda like a Charlie Kaufman joint.

The Morning Show. Decent drama. Billy Crudup is fantastic, as is Reese Witherspoon, and much of the cast. Jennifer Aniston seems to have had some face work that I just cannot get past.

Dune (1984). First 2/3 is pretty good and somewhat ridiculous, last 1/3 is ridiculousissimo. Los Angeles Supergroup Toto and Brian Eno on the same score. LOLZ.

Dune (2021). Visually really great, story more cohesive than the 1984 version. Looking forward to pt 2 coming out, but I have low expectations. Preparation for battle and battle sequences are usually pretty boring for me.

Started watching Oz (HBO series from the 90s). Can see how it was groundbreaking at the time, but it's not really working for me.

Watched S1 of Welcome to Wrexham, the thing where Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney buy a Welsh football team.

It's somewhat watchable, but there's an underlying feeling the entire time of it being very carefully crafted with a certain narrative. The two guys try to pass as humble dudes trying to serve a dying town out of sheer reverence for its history (even though there are so many towns just like it), while really the TV show is the product, not the team, and they want to create a merchandising empire.
Once they start using their Hollywood bankroll to convince players and staff 2 leagues above to drop down into obscurity, the narrative that the team are underdogs (or represent the town, really) goes out the window.
