Inspired by a memory of reading that someone's guitar tech used to almost always play the opening guitar riffs from Yes's "Owner of a Lonely Heart."
You're a guitar tech for some band and when you're on stage it's your moment to shine. You go up and plug in. What riff do you play?

6I would play one of my own riffs. When you play someone else’s riff, at best you sound like a nerd, and at worst you sound like a schmuck. I have cool riffs, and even if I shucked a clam nobody would know.

9I can only play a scant handful of songs on guitar for mere seconds before they fall apart: "Breathe" from The Pink Floyd, "Turn it On" from The Flaming Lips, and "Faint Heart" from The Birthday Party. For the purposes of this thread I'm going "Faint Heart" for sheer riffage and badassery.
