Thinking about this thread made me listen to CR just last night! Quiet is not bad either. I saw SP for this tour and they were great live, but i have never been able to get behind them generally. Gosh it turned hard going pretty quickly....

These words have been used against many a hip hop act.

But seriously that sample and the importance or unimportance of lifting it for an art pop song is a rabbit hole of a conversation that gets into the artistic and cultural value of ambient music and whether it should regarded similarly or different from "songwriting". But that's it's own thread.
