Bump

Have been listening to Down a lot lately. Just changed the stylus on my turntable and it was the first record I decided to put on. It's all over the place, in mostly a good way. Certainly makes me chuckle more than any other record by them. "Meow meow meow beep beep"

It might not be #1, but it very well might be #2. Goat is still #1.

The first note I heard of their music was Liar on vinyl at a friends house.

When Boilermaker is the first song you ever hear of a band that’s it, forever.

I agree Goat is probably the best written, but often I just want to rock out and go for Head

Best Yow lyrics: LIAR
Best recording: HEAD
Best music: GOAT

Overall: GOAT

DOWN is still strong but somewhat weaker, BLUE and SHOT are merely okay.

Interesting. I'm not a fan of production/recording of Head. I think vocals are too quiet and incomprehensible. But still a great record. Just not as good as Goat and Liar.

Same for me aside from Liar, which I'd give a 9.5. I listen to Head more than any others.

Very underappreciated...and I can´t see why. So many killer songs. I think "Good Thing" is my favourite Jesus Lizard song ever.

Personally it's a toss up between Goat and Liar but I happen to think Down is a great and seriously underrated record. Lash is pretty neat too.

Does anyone know if the song Zachariah was inspired by the film?

7 vs 8 could be their pinnacle.
