First, yes I know.

But actually the first enjoyable listen since Aftertaste. Some actual sound progression, interesting riffage, and his vocals are solid. Some Wire influences in the guitar work, not just dropped D plodding. An acoustic track and some dynamics.

I was already a Talk Talk head from way back when Brian McBride passed away in August. I read an interview with him where he singled out the last two Talk Talk albums, and I started binging on them like I'd never heard them before. No more SoTL, Low, or Killing Joke in the span of a year. Fuck.
