If I had to choose between opening a portal to hell in my house and getting a nice G&L, I'd take the G&L in a heartbeat. When I was looking for a Strat, I almost got a used bright orange G&L but ended up going with a Fender instead. But I still think about that bright orange G&L from time to time. It looked cool and probably would've played well/sounded good.

Anyway, do like what I've heard from this band.

Not crap but theyr'e no Live Skull, Rat at rat R or even Of cabbages and Kings... a bit too much shoegazer and "indie"-anglophilia for my 80s NYC artsy noise-rock tastes...

Robert Poss deserves more credit, good on you, Trey.

BoS are emblematic of a certain time and sound for which other bands get more attention, but BoS was always the best out of that bunch.

Robert's one of the good ones. I ordered a CD of "Distortion Is Truth" direct from him way back in the early '00s, and was after a copy of "Crossing Casco Bay" too. He was super apologetic because he'd run out of copies of CCB, but I said 'no problem' and went ahead and just ordered DIT. When it finally showed up, he'd burned me a CD-R of Casco Bay, and threw in cassettes of "Sometimes" and a Phil Niblock album too. Just an all-round good dude.

BOS rule. I waver between "Love Agenda" and "The Word And The Flesh" as my favorite, but that back catalogue of theirs is so compact and focused that you really can't go wrong with any of it.

Hard agree here. I think the difference is the song writing and ensemble playing, which is really solid.

Love Agenda is fantastic. Page Hamilton is singing on It’s Locked Away, which is interesting in the context of what came after.

I’m going to listen to that album right now.

Their "Child of the Moon" cover is fucking awesome.

I had a G&L bass once. It was very well made, had a humbucker in the Stingray "sweet spot." The model was called the CLIMAX. Sold it because it was not satanic enough.

Being of a certain age I am familiar with this band by name but can not recall hearing them. Where should I begin?
