I listened to some of this album on YouTube last night. It's really good. I remember seeing this one often in used bins back in the day.rsmurphy wrote: Wed Dec 20, 2023 10:26 amTo my ears Tabula Rasa sounds like the inevitable result of a band that has made their own rules, compositions, and instruments over several years, as does subsequent albums. I haven't paid close attention since Perpetuum Mobile but will always have an interest to hear what they are doing.Clyde wrote: Wed Dec 20, 2023 8:58 amHeadcleaner is straight-up classic.rsmurphy wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 11:00 am Einstürzende Neubauten - Tabula Rasa
My logic finds there's not much of a leap between "Yü Gung (Fütter Mein Ego)" and "Die Interimsliebenden" or "Schmerzen Hören" and "12305(te) Nacht," but try telling that to a purist. Go on, try it.
I'll go even further, even though the later Neubauten records can be a little hit or miss but I usually like more songs than I don't.
I like all of EN's stuff. I'll admit to a partiality for the earlier stuff but this one is no slouch either.
