So you're saying it's not all happening in the protagonist's head? You don't have to explain if it will spoil the movie further, but I'd think that is a key revelation.kokorodoko wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 1:56 pmNo spoiler given imo.ChudFusk wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 1:53 pmWelp, I guess I don't need to watch The Babadook now. 492I don't think it reveals anything essential and I don't agree with OPs reading nor did it cross my mind when watching.

495Ehh you probably saved me a couple hours of my life! Sometimes I watch these things just to learn the main story or the surprise ending. A good movie is worth the ride even if I already know where I'm going, so just let me know if you think I should watch it anyway.
Re: Tipping The Sacred Cows 2.0
496I remember enjoying Babadook visually and the ending being one of those "it's up to you to decide is bitch is crazy or not". But just watched it once almost ten years ago .
Not great but worth the watching .

497I'm just being snarky. I'd watch it. I should rewatch it. There are definitely creepy elements to it, I just thought it was over hyped, in addition to the is she/isn't she ending.
It was also a netflix-and-chill situation so distractions were afoot.

500Being able to capably handle fear and distress is a good barometer for life in general. I once went on a movie date with a grade school teacher to see Happiness and a dealer to watch You're Next.
