I recently returned to some tiny circuit boards that I had worked on years ago with any issue.
Now I can barely see the fucking things.

I ordered some new fine-point conical tips for my clumsy soldering iron.

Can anybody recommend a light-up magnifier type of thing?
I've never used a headset/headlamp for stuff like this. Should I look for a table-top or deskmount solution instead?

Is it time to go full Ghostbusters?

I wear progressive contact lenses juist to get pretty close to normal. Good enough for computer use, every day, etc. It's as good as they'll get me w/o lasering me. I still need readers for most up close stuff though.

Light is really the most important part of that equation though. I see a lot better when shit is really bright, and I use my headlamp for fixing random shit in small spaces all the time. A totally ridiculous looking but very useful solution.

Even a cheapo solution is good. If it's got 3 settings for brightness, it helps a lot.

Not sure how this one got missed, but the Eminence Kappalite is a great bass guitar speaker. Sounds excellent in a TL606 cab as well.

The trouble is there's 2 versions and I"m not sure which one I heard. I think it's probably the plain 3015 and not the 3015LF?

I suspect the LF is more meant as subs for PAs. I was also thinking that the LF version would be more desirable if you really want that solid low end info, but the freq charts paint a different picture that they both have similar response curves in the low end. Biggest difference on the chart would be once you get in the mids/high-mids - if you want some of that attack sound without a horn, the 3015 is probably the way to go.

I've always used Eminence Delta 15a's with closed back cabs. Love 'em.

Great speakers, but IDK if that's going provide the weight savings from the OP.

Eminence did a DeltaLITE that was also great, but appears to now be discontinued. My best description would be that they sounded little less hi-fi sounding than the Kappa and maybe a little more wooly?

True. Just giving my thumbs up on Eminence. I have some 12" speakers I love from them, too.
