Not to derail the thread but your post got me to thinking about music or albums that originally wouldn't be thought of as depressing, but because of an unexpected death happens to take on a depressive quality. Cliff Burton being accidentally killed in a tour bus accident gave "Orion" a whole new meaning; the effervescent, hooky pop tunes on Guitar Romantic from the Exploding Hearts now have an air of sadness; all of those bittersweet shoegaze songs on Return from Blue Smiley hit differently after Brian Nowell's accidental overdose; and, I can't help but to get a little sad listening to Eric Carr's background harmonizing on "God Gave Rock N' Roll to You II."
Man, that could almost be a thread of it's own.

While Nate was probably the "This Guy Is Going To Actually Put His Heart Into Doing This Justice..." choice to step into Caleb's spot after Caleb passed, it is almost impossible to listen to that record.

Never mind the last record Caleb was on.

Vini Reilly...what a fucking guitarist. So sad that he can't play anymore.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.
