Completely agree! Trying to play drum n bass beats on an actual kit (e.g.) can result in interesting challenges.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2024 5:51 pm sometimes cool things can happen when you kind of go the other direction and then come back the other way again.
Re: Drum programming tips
22another suggestion is Klevgrand plugins. They have Ting (a found percussion sample plugin), Skaka (shaker and such with a really creative interface), Slammer (kinda lo fi drums), and Borsta (hand percussion like djimbes and shit with a insane interface that once you get to know it is really fun), They also have One Shot which is a great sample loader/trigger that works great. This company makes some of the most creative plugin there are out there and their percussion stuff is a hoot. you can get all of their perc plugs for like a hundo and it's totally worth it.

25Noob question. I was going to use GarageBand… lots of built in free stuff. Will this work with the drum simulators being discussed here? It works with AmpliTube - a plug in have.
I assume they work at plugins as well?

26I've never used GarageBand but far as I know you can use vst and au plugins in it so it should work. Shout out if I'm talking out of my ass.Gramsci wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2024 12:02 pm Noob question. 27The two Kurt Ballou drum instruments run inside of Native Instruments' Kontakt Player. From the looks of this? Kontakt Player will seemingly run in Garage Band.
EZ Drummer is a virtual instrument of it's own. From the looks of this? It should also work in Garage Band.
Here's another one. It's pretty solid on the "Nuts..."/"Bolts..." front.
