The early hardcore / independent wave of bands / musicians had some of the best music, but most of it was recorded in a mostly unimpressive manner. Which do you think are some exellent sounding records from this era?

I mean, I enjoy the way a lot of the early SST / T&G releases sound, but I've grown to. Which are fine sounding albums from a recording point of view, in your opinion?
