Zack de la Rocha also did all his vocals live through a 58 on the first RATM album.
There's a 57 permanently patched in and tucked in between the cushions of the couch next to the console at the wilco loft; my understanding is that a not-insignificant percentage of the vocals that end up getting used on their records come from scratch takes done sitting on the couch with the couch mic.

On one hand, yes, it makes me happy, but that happiness is tempered by own experience of looking for things in couches. "Where is that fucking mic? I've found a pick, some foreign currency, about half a poppadom in fragments and one of those soy sauce sachets in the shape of a fish, but no fucking 57"

Damn. I have one of these that i'd practically give away if I knew anyone wanted one. I think I had it on eBay for a bit but no one bit.

Had I only known!
(I didn’t pay much for it.)

I just picked up a Morningstar MC6 MIDI controller pedal. I'd like to use it for two things: to control my Opus so I can easily switch between amps and to be able to use it while recording directly into the DAW with software amps and pedals, like Genome, Nembrini VST Host, and Neural DSP apps. The Morningstar software looks great and the pedal seems legit, got a great price on a used one. Looking forward to playing with it.
