God I love that record.
That album has a very special place in my heart. I saw them play in New Zealand a lot during this time. Some of the shows were beyond loud. I remember they play at the weirdly boujee cafe bar in Christchurch that often has great shows. It’s hard to describe the beauty of the Untied intro at that volume. It became a physical experience.
Most prominent and I think thankfully last example of that Yngwie Malmsteen of female vocalists thing that was going on in late 90s / early 00s rnb. In a different musical context, and without all that extra stuff, I would have liked her voice. But as it is - intolerable.
