I've got the 0xeae boost and I didn't need it, rarely use it, and will likely keep it forever because it looks and sounds so fucking mental. Embrace the needlessness.

I've a demonfx Mini Chorus analogue man clone of his clone of a small clone on the way. 30 bux delivered and meant to be the finest of morally dubious pedals. Got two demonfx darkglass clones that are brilliant and were mere pennies.

Because I can’t help myself, I bought a $450 1977 Fender Pro Reverb. One of the last tube-rectified 45-watt ones. Has all the original iron but the speakers have been replaced. I had a ‘74 master volume one pretty much exactly like this one years ago and have always regretted selling it.

It sounds really great as-is, but does have some issues though:
1) Master Volume only outputs sound between 6 and 10. I tried Deoxit in the pot to no avail. I didn’t buy this for home usage anyway, but it’s still pretty annoying.
2) Reverb mysteriously works on both channels. And the Normal channel is a little quieter (which is usually the opposite). That channel’s reverb also has a lot less reverb depth. All tubes are the correct type.
3) Didn’t have a footswitch so I didn’t check the tremolo before I bought it. It ticks like a mother fucker. 100% unusable as-is. Which is the biggest bummer.
4) The detachable grill has been spray painted gray and is cracked in half pretty substantially. You can’t really tell and it stays in place though.
5) The bias circuit has been redone to be adjustable instead of a balance, which is nice. And several of the electrolytics in the board have been replaced, great. BUT for some reason they left the original caps in the doghouse when they did that work. Eh, I expected nothing anyway.
6) Two knobs cracked completely in half.

I’ll have some maintenance/fix questions regarding some of these issues that I’ll post in a more appropriate thread.

Let the money suck project begin! It did come with a UK-made Vintage 30 that I can at least sell to offset a little of the repair cost. I don’t like those speakers anyway and have several speakers sitting around to pop in.
