The thought occurred to me as well, but I've thought that before. Everyone deserves to outlive Donald Trump. To exist outside of his timeline.

And only last night we were talking about beautiful people we have known whose lives were tragically brief while all the people we might wish would drop dead just never do.

In the Eurovision, the popular vote from Sweden awarded the 12 pointer to Israel. Strong indications that an online mobilization of far right supporters played some part. The Swedish jury awarded Israel 0 points.

I wish Hunter S. Thompson had lived a decade and a half or so longer, if only because I'd love to have known what he'd made of Trump. That's probably a selfish wish on my part, given that he'd already felt compelled to blow his brains out when Bush Jnr. was still in power.
I hate music, it's got too many notes.

I’d worry he’d go full contrarian and go full Maga.

David Roth is sort of filling that gap without all the problematic boomerism.

It's really sad to see people in the public forum that is the internet who think Palestinians somehow deserve to be killed because of the actions of Hamas. They are loud and obnoxious and make it seem like this is the majority viewpoint. Even so, it appears more like a close split. The whole situation is not as complicated as it appears, but it is easily complicated by those who don't think deeply or wish to sow division and hatred.

I've been thinking about counter-arguments. I honestly don't think having a discussion about this with those who have made up their minds would really matter, but I just wanted to express my thoughts on the matter.

Did the victims of 911 deserve it? They must be directly complicit in the actions of the United States in regards to the middle east. All Americans must deserve punishment for every atrocity committed by the United State government. We voted these people in, so they act on our behalf and we are all accountable for it.

That's basically the argument to justify the killing of Palestinians. I would argue that we can't hold all Israelis accountable for the actions of their government. There is a plurality of jews and Israelis who do not support this genocide. It's hard not to feel sympathetic towards the Palestinians who are being killed. There is no resolution to be had if Israel's only clear mission at this point is to wipe Palestinians off the map entirely. Palestinians then have no other option than to defend themselves by any means.

No matter what the situation is, there is no justification for genocide. Israel is killing innocent people, full stop.
