I was ridiculously optimistic about how long this would take. Due to understandable life stuff, the neck builder took five months from order to delivery...and that's fair. It's a lot of frets, even without interruptions! I also took far longer than I expected to complete the wiring. I've wired guitars before! How long can it take? The complicating factors here were my using the wrong soldering iron tip (smaller/more precise is better, right? Not if it's not getting the lug or wire hot enough...) and there not being a lot of room in the Tele Deluxe body channels. I also had to bevel/dress fret ends. Once I got all that worked out, I'd burned three months. (Still have to lower some high frets and lower string slots at the nut.) But...I have a show with it tomorrow. So off we go.

There is this one particular module I've been interested in owning but never bought and now it's getting discontinued forever. Speculation for the last two years that they would be releasing an updated version with a new take on their old idea with maybe new controls, stereo input to match the emerging trend of stereo outputs in this format, and a black panel instead of silver, etc. But nope, they announced no new version is in development and this one is just retiring. Although they are making the last runs with black panels now.
Why should I get it? FOMO. This is my favorite modular brand. It's a bit unique as a modeless reverb that dials in a variety of nice sounds. Plus a nice CV out related to the wet mix volume, which makes it less just an effect and more "modular" with more possibilities for integration by self patching or to other modules. Probably won't find them cheaper in the future.
Why not get it? It's still only has mono input, not a deal breaker but less appealing. I already have three other modules that can add reverb with varying level of control , although two are just single-knob bonus additions on a module that does other things. It's also expensive. It may trigger a small purge of other modules I've already been considering to sell, which tends to escalate into a larger purge and trigger a form of self loathing and other naval gazing.... which appears to have already started.
Do I give in to my FOMO or stick to my current setup?

Sequential Pro-3 eliminated every interest I had in going down a modular rabbit hole. It’s no inexpensive purchase but the amount of time/money I might have spent, it feels like some form of therapy having the Pro3 around.
