Re: Music Vintage Year - 1994

One of the great music years. I haven't read through this thread to see if all of these have already been mentioned, but I'm going to rattle off some 1994 favorites off the top of my head!

Disco Inferno's D.I. Go Pop, probably the greatest album ever recorded outside of Closer. Plus the Second Language and It's a Kid's World EPs, also some of the greatest music put to disc.

Bark Psychosis' Hex, a masterpiece.

Bedhead's incredible WhatFunLifeWas and 4-SongEP19:10

Codeine's flawless The White Birch.

SKWM's Libertine and In the West, for god's sake. If it were any other band, it'd be insane that two albums that great came out within a single year.

Portishead's Dummy, another masterpiece.

Coil vs. ELpH's Born Again Pagans EP.

Muse Sick-N-Hour Mess Age, the last Public Enemy album with Bomb Squad production, IIRC.

The first Bowery Electric 7".

Nothing Painted Blue's Placeholders. Totally flawless.

The self-titled Jessamine album.

Helium's Pirate Prude, a totally inspirational guitar record.

Low's I Could Live in Hope.

.O.Rang's Herd of Instinct.

Hood's Cabled Linear Traction.

That Comsat Angels '93-'94 radio sessions comp.

Circle X's Celestial, which was my introduction to them.

Autechre's Amber, Basscad, and Anti.

Main's Motion Pool.

Six Finger Satellite's Machine Cuisine EP.

Morrissey has proven himself to be a right-wing ghoul, but I love Vauxhall and I.

Come's Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

Flying Saucer Attack's Distance comp.

Dissolve's That That Is...Is (Not).

Several Gerogerigegege albums, IIRC.

Elvis Costello's Brutal Youth.

Pony Express Record, for god's sake.

Has anyone mentioned At Action Park??

NOT CRAP!!
