If you told me in 2010 that I'd live in a country where Donald Trump owned the court system, I would have thought you insane. But here we fucking are...thanks, RBG.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.

What is it with these old codgers? Somebody needs to hide the keys to their cadillacs because they are not safe behind the wheel, anymore and unwilling to listen to reason. I guess Biden is now blaming jet lag for his performance. This is from the horses mouth. He landed in DC two weeks prior to debate night.

At least trump's convictions can't be overturned, though he sure is going to try.

Also: he has yet to be sentenced. Given this latest ruling, maybe he should have the book thrown at him.

Yes, which is absurd. Apparently they need until September to verify that actions Trump took before becoming president don't count as official presidential acts. Old age and bad habits will take this bastard down long before our legal system can come close to processing what he's done.

I heard on some podcast that the first thing Biden did after the debate fiasco was to "meet with" donors reassure them that he's fit to be president.

This is what's wrong with the USA.
Yup. The last thing those donors want is stronger worker’s rights, public healthcare or basically anything that makes life less precarious.

The Dems are the lesser of two evils.

See Trump the next day say that the fake electors was an official act made it obvious now how awful this decision is. Now, anything can be said to be an official act, and only the SC can be the arbiters of that being true or not. With the decision, from what I understand is that evidence cannot be included in determining the intent of the act, only the act itself. How is this even acceptable? It's utter nonsense, it looks like blatant corruption of the courts and the presidency.

I don't feel confident about our future. It's no longer hyperbole, it's almost a "when" and not "if" at this point. If Trump loses, this nightmare doesn't end. If he does win, there's no telling how long the "revolution" will last. Either way, we'll be reeling from this decision for years, if not generations to come. Conservatives have absolutely ruined our country and Democrats are complicit it its demise. What absolute horseshit. What do we do once we are officially in a totalitarian state? I just want to live life and take care of my family, now I gotta worry about the possibility of living in a dictatorship and the future for my kids, who happen to be girls.

I'm totally with you. I also have (two) daughters.

I feel completely and utterly defeated by what has transpired (related and unrelated to politics) in the past two months.
