I am not upset at anyone who votes third-party.
I don't know man. If you live in a swing state, vote third party, and Trump wins your state that's be pretty upsetting.

Our votes don't change our electoral system, at least until there's a ballot measure to change it.

They're not a day in FFS.

If it's still treading water, or worse, come half-term, then fair enough.
Yeah, far be it for someone to judge them by everything they've said and done over the past four years!

For better or worse, there's never been any point in comparing a party in opposition to a party in government. Time will tell.
If we look back in a year and my posts have aged like milk, I'll be delighted to be wrong. But some of their actions- the racism, the bullying, the purges it's not just that I find it unforgivable, it makes me fear how they will act with real power.
'When someone shows you who they are...' all that.

I don't begrudge you your optimism and I'm honestly not trying to piss on your chips, but I hope you can understand my pessimism!

Oh I'm not optimistic in the least, but I do think tailoring yourself to be electable and actually getting into power is a decent first step towards being able to do anything constructive, given that there isn't a cat in hell's chance of the UK left having enough spine or collective graft to chip away at it daily.

Why I ended up leaving tbh.

The tory shithouse that is iain duncan smith kept his seat. Labour would have beaten him easily if it wasn't for starmer suspending the original candidate for 'liking' a Jon Stewart bit on social media.

Likewise the poundshop oswald mosley won clacton. This is at least in part, because starmer pulled the labour candidate.

Certainly seems to have the wrong priorities, but that's been obvious for a while.

It's hard to tell how much he's politically dangling with his party and how much the media is making hay. If they're going to convince him they'd better do it soon.
