The AI bot pages on Facebook are really getting annoying. How many "Best comics funny #everycomicstripnamebutusuallythefarside" and "Why don't pictures like this ever trend? (picture of AI-generated murica military thing)" pages am I gonna have to block every day? Fucking boomers. I can almost guarantee they're the ones liking and spreading these pages. "HeRbLE GerBle ThEy suRe DonT MaKe RAciST MiSoGyniST COmIC StriPS LiKE ThIS ANyMorE HyEErrGHHGGargle. BLAzIng SaDDlEzs COuLD NeVEr Be Made TOdYA BeCuASE MiLEnnIAllASSss ArEE To WokEHuRrGghhghhhhh."

I would give my left thumb to stop the Reels recommendations. Nothing works.

And I really, especially don’t want to watch Reels videos of people fighting, yet that content gets shoved in my face no matter how much I try to block it.

Beautiful melodies are often the saddest. I listened to "Betcha By Golly, Wow" by The Stylistics and "Stairway to Heaven" by The O'Jays - two songs that are staples on any soul lover's wedding day playlist, but those longing melodies with minor chords could easily go on a funeral mixtape. If it weren't for the lyrics which allude to finally having found the one, or experiencing a night of fabulous lovemaking, they could easily soundtrack an interment. Sometimes, even the lyrics could be interpreted in a different light; The Stylistic's "If I could I'd catch a falling star / to shine on you so I'll know where you are" can easily express a desire to keep a deceased love in one's heart, and although The O'Jay's "Here we go climbing the stairway to heaven / Here we go walking the road of ecstasy," sounds a bit sus funereal-wise it can be argued that the losing the weight of the world, in addition to consciousness forever can be ecstatic - la petite mort and all. La grande mort, if you will.

I feel for all of the Sysadmin people who got up early to get to the airport this morning to find that not only were their flights delayed, but their bosses were blowing up their phone and threatening them with termination if they didn't abandon their vacation plans and report to work.

Bodycam footage was released today. Biden and Harris have more than stumbled their handling on police reform and I don't see it gaining traction on a new Democratic ticket. I certainly don't see it happening in a second Trump administration, and that should go without saying. Back in March four-year-old Terrell Miller was killed by police while trying to apprehend someone holding a knife to his throat, and there's also the case of the FL deputy who shot airman Roger Fortson while in his home exercising his 2A rights.

The issue with policing in this country is beyond reprehensible and I don't see it getting better no matter who is in office.

It's been disheartening seeing the lack of coverage for 2 Milwaukee killings in recent weeks: one in a similar manner to George Floyd, the other by RNC rent a cops well outside the security zone. Did people only care about this in 2020 because they were cooped up at home..
