It’s never easy to admit defeat, especially when you’re the most powerful man in the world. So in a way I respect that. He’s not showing any bitterness, as much as he probably wants to.

But doing it now instead of a year ago when we could have planned this better is absolutely selfish. There’s no denying that.

So yeah I’m conflicted.

Life moves pretty fast…

I think the problem for Biden was when you’re old you can go down hill really fast.

Harris… meh… but I still hope she can beat Trump.

Yes, especially with black women who are widely considered to be the backbone of the Democratic party. I'm interested to witness how the younger, black, voting bloc will respond to her nomination. I'm thinking not so good, but in terms of draw the old guard is still formidable.

What I am not interested in is witnessing the massive racial and misogynistic shitstorm that will continue to be levelled against her but now in more aggressive tones. I'm not a fan of her past or party, but but black women have always been under attack, and now that racists are even more emboldened it doesn't look good.

I'm also curious to see how her nomination would play in swing states.

Also, nobody gives a shit about Hulk Hogan.

One thing that makes me hopeful—very hopeful, in fact—is that Biden never felt comfortable talking about abortion. The guy is a Catholic who takes Catholicism seriously. Harris shows no such reticence.
