1842Well, Trump was the favorite before this....I think many of us pessimists would guess that he'll continue to hold that advantage against a newcomer despite the initial enthusiasm for jettisoning the old fart. Good luck with whatever it is you're hoping will happen. I'm guessing it will be a long, long race to the bottom.

But I feel a lot more enthusiastic about this race today than I did before the announcement.
Lefties will temper their enthusiasm accordingly, if they have any at all, I guess. But I think there's something real at stake and this isn't "over."
