Tried again. Crap. Made me want to listen the Godfathers, who did that better.

Came across a used copy of II, Music On Vinyl reissue, for $13. I don't think I had ever heard it and I haven't heard the first one in decades. The best I can say is it sounds like that era of Bowie that comes after this collaboration. It sounds like a '90's Bowie record. They even cover a Bowie song.

NOT CRAP but not amazing.

The idea of Bowie in a band is quite fun. I remember giving them a go when it was new and thinking it was weak stuff though, and what's been posted here isn't changing my mind.

That cover of Debaser sure is not doing Pixies any favours.

I would have thought Bowie would have schooled them on this. I had assumed the geeky art reference was the reason Bowie picked the song.
