Took me a long time to finally get it, until Life Metal came out, but I've gone back and love lots of the older stuff now.

Have seen them twice, in 2019 when FM eephus was playing with them, and in early 2023 as the duo. I actually think the duo show was LOUDER but might have been the venue. Both were great, but the duo set was even more disorienting with the strobes and the fog.

NC and truly astounding that a band that sounds like that is as popular as they are.

Can we get a Hell Yeah for the Boris/Sunn collab Alter? I love that fuckin record.

I like pretty much all of their output, but you all have mentioned the highs. I think its cool the guy from Engine Kid went off and put together a band like this.

Anyways not crap. Great "getting zen" music. A great live experience, the low frequencies hurt less, vs high-end stuff, and I enjoy feeling my chest rattle.

This is an interesting point. I don't think I'd enjoy Sunn in a conventional way, but maybe like a sound bath. Can I just bring a mat and lay on the floor of Thalia Hall or whatever.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something like Max Richter’s Sleep concerts. They had beds. For the unaware Richter’s Sleep is a 8 hour piece that you are supposed to sleep to.
