No audiophile would ever vote for that system.

Re: Politics
2093I’m an outsider but shall we say connoisseur of US politics and he seems ideal. He’s a very solid performer rhetorically and seem to be able to communicate progressive politics as common sense. Plus has a normal person sense of humour and actually looks like a nice person.
The weirdest thing about Trump is he’s twisted reality. The US like most places is small C conservative. Not the wang-doddle kind just probably skeptical of grandiose claims and mostly very rarely thinks about politics.
In the UK Starmer made a very interesting decision to say vote for me and I’ll tread more lightly on your life. We’ll fix the broken stuff and you won’t have to deal with the endless drama and campaigning the right now offer.
Regardless of whether anyone likes Starmer he was right. Conservatives never stop campaigning and never actually govern. Conservatism is now, shout all the time, even when in charge and not actually do anything other than attack vulnerable groups. People are in general sick of this.

Re: Politics
2094The beltway pundit dorks are pissed Shapiro wasn't picked. And Rahm Emanuel (how does that guy still have a job??) initially dismissed Walz as a political nobody without any money, before he won big time in Minnesota. All of this makes me feel pretty confident that Walz isn't an obvious DNC establishment pick. Good for the Harris campaign for being tuned into the moment.eephus wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2024 11:32 pm Shapiro was this election cycle's equivalent of Kaine--a straddle, a wash, a "safe" pick that didn't motivate anyone who wasn't voting for HRC anyway.

2095Rahm is probably so butthurt right now for not even being ON the list ha ha.penningtron wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 7:00 amThe beltway pundit dorks are pissed Shapiro wasn't picked. Also just imagine the republican meltdown if Kamala picked Lori Lightfood
Re: Politics
2096I was specifically referring to the mentioned of "quality speaker wire."
Let's see what kinda tweaks this MF uses before I vote for him.
Re: Politics
2097Walz needs to endorse a $1500 power cable to secure the support of Audiophile PAC.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.
Re: Politics
2098I don't know if any of this was strategic, but Biden stepping down and handing it over to Harris, now with Shapiro not getting the VP nom after the media insisted he's the one, was an amazing way to throw the opposition way off. Donald's still campaigning against Biden and writing fan fiction about Biden swooping in at the DNC to reclaim the nomination, and the charming people over at Fox are claiming Democrats are anti-semites because they chose Walz over Shapiro (because he was obviously the superior choice)... It's fucking laughable watching them flail like whining babies. If Harris/Walz wins in November, whoever's running the campaign needs a prize of some sort, like the Presidential Medal of Freedom.penningtron wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 7:00 amThe beltway pundit dorks are pissed Shapiro wasn't picked. 2099Frankly that entry level AT turntable precariously half balanced on the radiator is no way to inspire confidence in your ability to represent the appropriate soundstage. This will come back to haunt him! Authority Song is my jam though.Krev wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 9:57 am Walz needs to endorse a $1500 power cable to secure the support of Audiophile PAC.

2100That's the tweak, dude. Counters whatever wow & flutter and rumble are inherent in the turntable. He's got my vote!zorg wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 10:38 amFrankly that entry level AT turntable precariously half balanced on the radiator is no way to inspire confidence in your ability to represent the appropriate soundstage.
