I didn't think it was worth it. If it was less than half the price I would be very tempted. I currently have an 8x14 copper phonic on the way. The only other snares I own and will hang on to are a vista that matches my kit, an Acro and a Jenkins and Martin. What would be second place to the Tama? Maybe the Gretsch BB, which is much more reasonably priced and I believe is a cast shell. I had the DW BB but traded it for the copper phonic.

Did I mention that our drummer now owns the snare drum that Rob Ellis used in the PJ Harvey trio? He bought it off him.

Success is surely just around the corner for us now! If we can't get it to sound as good as fm steve I guess that's on us.

This poor bastard has had a J&M kit listed on ebay for months now. I tried to send him a message asking if he would speak on the phone and gave him my number. His response was to tell me he will not break ebay policy, but to let him know if I was interested in trading.
