I'm so sick of politicians and the media talking about inflation with all the depth of "voters are upset about inflation". Everyone who cares enough to use the word inflation should have an idea about three factors:

1. Pandemic scarcity
2. Government stimulus to ward off recession (both presidents)
3. Corporate price hikes

That's objectively wrong, particularly in closely-contested states where the margin for error is minimal.

If it's just general disillusionment you're speaking to, I get that 100%. Or if it's the willfully standing by while an actual genocide is happening you're (justifiably) frustrated with, I also agree to the hilt.

But votes count.
I'm referring to the electoral college, because no doubt the whole thing will come down to the whims of a few thousand people in Pennsylvania regardless of what anybody else might think.

How do you think I feel living among people who are convinced that inflation and the disruption to the global economy was all caused by THE NEW ZEALAND LABOUR PARTY

"I don't know about who did what or what happened or anybody's policies about anything, all I know is that I felt like we were doing better back when he was on the TV"

that was the focus of the article. They talked to uncommitted voters from Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin & N. Carolina.

whats so crazy about that?
you can call it bait (which it was)
you can call it fringe (which it is)
but it's not a lie.
cnn wrote:Harris also wrote that she supported taxpayer funding of gender transition surgeries for detained immigrants and federal prisoners.

Harris was asked if, as president, she would use “executive authority to ensure that transgender and non-binary people who rely on the state for medical care – including those in prison and immigration detention – will have access to comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition, including all necessary surgical care.”

Harris replied, “Yes.”

“It is important that transgender individuals who rely on the state for care receive the treatment they need, which includes access to treatment associated with gender transition,” Harris wrote in a reply expanding on her answer. “That’s why, as Attorney General, I pushed the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to provide gender transition surgery to state inmates,” she wrote.

Harris explained that she supported granting prisoners and detainees access to “surgical care” for gender transition.

“Transition treatment is a medical necessity, and I will direct all federal agencies responsible for providing essential medical care to deliver transition treatment,” she wrote.
If the state takes responsibility for a humans life against their will, deniying them health care is criminal last I checked. The question here is poisoned from the beginning and playing into that is a failure of the media. Again.

Remember when chump wanted his picture on the stimulus checks? Shouldn’t it also be on the inflation that it helped cause too?

Exactly. I think it's weird that no one can admit it had to be either inflation from stimulus or a total economic crash and BOTH presidents picked the kindest cut.

ACLU asked her the question and she took the time to write an answer.
This highlights one of her biggest weaknesses as a politician. She can’t manipulate the media and she will have to learn that as president.
