When you disagree with Buttigieg, he can seem super condescending, which is fine with me when people should be scolded out of a conversation for being stupid, but it doesn't play on TV sometimes. That's the risk IMO.

I didn't see any of the debate because I hate myself, but not that much, so grain of salt and all that, but I think my assessment stands.

That's true, wonkiness doesn't always work. But Vance really needed his ass handed to him and kind of got away with playing Smartest Bully in the Room.

blech.. why did I watch this. I'll just keep telling myself VP debates don't matter.

Debates, with the exception of the Biden Old Folks meltdown, almost never change a thing.

I assume we were all dreaming of a Vance disaster but he’s not a dumb guy. He would have been prepped to stay on track as a reasonable sounding person. That was his entire MO for that debate.

People have made up their minds. The next five weeks are about mobilising supporters to get out and vote. Who wins now is who can get their voters out. If that were consistent across Harris and Trump, Harris would win but that’s not how it works.

BTW the Electoral College is fucking stupid. It should be a straight popular vote. But that’s not going to change.

He seems to like to make up fish tales about really dumb stuff,, which undercuts his otherwise folksy wholesomeness, and he does look a lot like The Cowardly Lion. Meanwhile Vance passes as a pretty good lesser Bond villian.

You know how sometimes you come across the phrase 'eat the rich', like, when does that start? Because it feels like we've gone way beyond the point of when that should have started. Shit like this ^ just emphasises the point.

Because the AI they used to make the image is too dumb to know it doesn't need them. Or the dumbass contracted to make the image (doubtful).

He reminds me of the alien in Men In Black that put the dudes skin on and it doesn't fit right.
