For forty years this stone classic has been inspiring legions of people to dance in a town that prohibits dancing.
You know this one.
Ever angry danced? Of course you have.
What did David do? What did David do? What did David do? David danced before the Lord with all his might.
Re: Footloose (1984)
2Bacon chose this role over the Arnie role in John Carpenter's Christine. Now that's an alt-history artifact I'd give up the right to dance to see.

3So good.
Also the track played every speed skating session at my local ice rink in the 80s, so not crap times infinity.

4It's been a LONG time since I've seen the movie and I'm not really clamoring to watch it again. Out of fairness, no vote.
I can't stand the song. Not sure if it's because it sucks, or because I've heard it so many times.
It'd be interesting to see this in a dome with Dirty Dancing.

6Very crap. Terrible music and acting. Singer and Penn are blocks of wood. Boring story. I hate that scene with cooks, arcade players and other randoms being set free by a boombox.
Re: Footloose (1984)
7This movie is pretty awful. However, that tune with Kenny Loggins attempting the Maiden gallop is hilarious.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.

9Wouldn't have been better than Keith Gordon, but different, sure.Bluegum LaBloat wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2024 9:49 pm Bacon chose this role over the Arnie role in John Carpenter's Christine. Now that's an alt-history artifact I'd give up the right to dance to see.

10Was terrible then and it's terrible now. Everything about it. Very much a product of its time. Reagan was president. MTV and the PMRC had just gotten started.
