CRAP.

Mainstream 80s American films are almost always garbage that people just have nostalgia for (see also Dirty Dancing). A few exceptions here and there (most Zemeckis and Spielberg) but what a crap time for movies that all have HORRIBLE soundtracks.

Footloose is probably the worst fucking song ever. The other Loggins song from Caddyshack gives it a run for the money, though.

These two are terrible but still not the worst thing Loggins has done.

The Yacht Rock version of Kenny Loggins is an inspired creation. The way he played off the perpetually depressed Michael McDonald, I could have watched a whole sitcom with just those two.

re: Dirty Dancing - I almost had my first sexual encounter while watching this movie with my friend's sister's friend who was like 30 to my 16. She was super aggressive. Not attractive. Today things like that will get you cancelled and probably jailed. After the movie we listened to "Nights in White Satin" then I faked a tummy-ache.
