Yesterday, I put a $10 eBay bid on ten Japanese 78s from the 1920s. (Supposedly. I don’t think the seller knows how old they actually are. I sure don’t.) We’ll see if I win the auction.

But it led me to search for similarly old, similarly cheap 78s from India. You’d think such things would be somewhat plentiful, but nope. Indian 78s seem to be incredibly expensive!

I’ve had the Rona since last Thursday and it’s still fucking with me; dizziness, congestion, shitty appetite, and irregular temperature. I can cope with that, but on Friday I went to pick up my Jeep after replacing the transmission for the second time, and 15 minutes later I got into a 3 car crash that was technically my fault, and the front end of my Jeep is fucked. I still owe the bank 6 grand for the transmission and I’m feeling really defeated.

Edit: I just read Penningtron’s post, holy shit! My life could be worse.

A house on my street burned to the ground around lunchtime today. nobody hurt, but I will never forget the sound and the HEAT from at least 300 feet away.

Very confronting, I can tell you. The windows in the houses next door to it were expolding from the heat.
