Chuck Roberts, the creator of the most iconic vocal sample in house music history has passed away. Stripped from Rhythm Controll's 1987 track "My House," his clarion call to the dancefloor has ended-up in a kajillion mixes and tracks over the years. Beyoncé even swiped it for her Renaissance tour. Not bad, Mr. Roberts. Not bad at all.
First time I ever heard that was in RevCo's "Beers, Steers, & Queers." I had no idea what it was until the internet. Love that.

I've probably listened to this clip close to 100 times today. Shazam is being a dick. I need this track. Sick beat gets sicker after thirty seconds or so with a synth sound that's such an indescribable underground house vibe it makes you wanna wiggle. What even is that sound? It's weird about that sound that makes you go, yeah, that's house. It's, like, dark and robotic, but not depressing. Moody, maybe? Total vibez.

With other/darker stuff mixed in and/or tweaked.
Well, well, well, aren't we incisive!
