Re: Signature Gear: The Good Stuff

I had one of the Steve Harris basses (blue sparkle/mirror guard) for quite a while - found it surprisingly mellow relative to my other Precisions, but a very good instrument. Currently have a Squier Mascis Jazzmaster, which I've had since... 2011? A bit more aggressive sounding than my other JMs & feels specifically great (frets are kind of soft, though). Also have a Justin Meldal-Johnsen Mustang (which, despite the fairly loathsome fake wear, is lovely - and is my only bass with flats, a joy to palm mute).

I appreciate when an artist will innovate/spec something out a bit with a sig model - eg., I like the Johnny Marr Jaguar a lot. Finally, I'll willingly admit to REALLY digging the Yamaha Limp Bizkit Guy signature model, a true abomination, a melty/angular Starcaster with no inlays and a locking trem:

I can't really put my finger on it but I find her really irritating and her playing bothers me too. Just not for me. That little jam at the front was tedious and awful. She also has bass neck.
