If you’re a racist or a misogynist, then you didn’t vote against your interests.
Your point is relevant, but the exit polls indicated that a lot of people voted on what they perceived as 'the economy'. Their perception is mostly skewed, and not in a good way, but that's down to the normal propaganda.

I think a lot of the "economic concerns" shit was coded language. Calling out Trump's supporters as racist and misogynistic could jeopardize a Bezos space contract. Billionaires have no principles.

Aside from higher prices, the economy is basically fine. He'll once again take credit for something that America's morons handed to him.

And don't get me fucking started on,"There is more that unites us than divides us". +60% of your voter population have just rolled out the red carpet to fascism you fucking dolt.

Give those cunts their due though. I know it's far easier to destroy than to create, and that obviously gives them a substantial leg up, but at least they do their work. Where was the alternative 'Bible' to Project 2025? The one with UBI, a reduced workweek, education and healthcare reform from top to bottom, fully integrated tax reform, total commitment to addressing climate change impacts...and that's just the top line stuff.

ok thanos. you've made your point several times. i'm starting to believe you now.
Yeah, you might want to tone down the rhetoric there, chief. LAst thing we want is the federales poking around on the good old PRF.

yeah sorry for wanting people who ran openly on a campaign of genocide and who in their rallies and churches called on the extermination of people like me and my family, and who are now going to use their power to accomplish those goals, to die. Guess that makes me “thanos”.
Fuck off

I wonder if by voting the Orange Menace you dodged a civil war. It begun to look like there would be a lot of plaid shirted, tactical bearder grey men doing a lot of spec ops if Harris would've won.

I guess it's up to grass root movements to take care of your people in need. Jam econo for a spell.

I think both things can be true here. Remember almost everyone is a Low Information Voter, that barely have time to relax, let alone pay as much attention to politics as most of us here. The media tends to interview Trump headbangers because it makes good copy. But a lot of people simply don’t care about the news cycle, see high grocery prices and smash the Other Guy button.

I don’t even think a Marxist “voting against self interest” take is needed because the Overton Window of economic empowerment by both parties is non existent. There’s nothing on the table from either party that will materially benefit anyone beyond a bit of tinkering around the edges.

Also the talk of a “landslide” is absolute bullshit. It’s one or two percentage points here and there. First Past the Post is absolutely ludicrous. The winner takes all nature of it generates this bullshit polarisation.
