If you're not already familiar, check out this blog/newsletter
Web3 is Going Just Great...and is definitely not an enormous grift that's pouring lighter fluid on our already smoldering planet

https://www.web3isgoinggreat.com/

It's an ongoing chronicle of crypto and blockchain -related scams, hacks, etc.
The author also writes https://www.citationneeded.news/ and is likely high on the enemies list of all of the worst tech bro libertarians.

'Normal people' don't matter under fascism.
I actually think the opposite. The incoming administration will be acutely aware of the people that voted for them. If there’s some weird financial event caused by crypto they’ll dump it.

One slight silver lining to Trump and Co is zero loyalty to anyone. Trump will throw anyone under the bus at a seconds notice if it threatens his popularity.

I doubt American institutions are so weak the constitution is under threat. Remember the military owe their allegiance to the constitution not the president.

The next four years will be a combo of deeply sucking and stupidity. But a dictatorship, I doubt it.

It’s entirely possible I’m completely wrong or they do a Lawfare dictatorship and ratfuck the system to stay in power.
