Now Large Marge is demanding all the ethics investigations be shown to the public, including Gaetz. I mean, she's finally said something that isn't fucking stupid for once, but I doubt she means to do this with good intentions.

Well if it seemed like a clown coalition before..

Also, Gaetz' "withdrawal" is another hint to Elon that he has no actual power or influence.
Holy shit. So, he's no longer going to be in Congress either? That's a big win, oddly. I wish he'd just go to prison, but we don't hold these types of people accountable anymore.
Seems that way. He'll probably spend the rest of his life "giving speeches" on college campuses.

I can believe it. The right is trying real hard to change academia to be in line with their views.

Pretty much felt that already but after watching them go “we lost because we moved to far left!” after one of the most conservative campaigns they’ve ever run, Biden caring more about providing Israel with more weapons than anything else, the only trans representative in Congress instantly rolling over and throwing us all under the bus like a true Dem (and who of course is also hugely pro-Israel), and Trump’s gaggle of rapists, abusers, and antivaxxers being selected for cabinet positions, feeling it more than ever.
Love living in a world where some piece of shit wins a glorified popularity contest designed by slaveowning misogynists centuries ago and gets to cause massive amounts of suffering to millions but “oh well, that’s the rules! Gotta be civil, and if you complain or do anything in retaliation, we’ll kill you or torture you in prison!”
Fuck each and every last one of them. Fuck this hell world.

They're going to fall over themselves to distance themselves given the amount of "Kill your local Pedophile" stickers they've sold

Yeah... Not to mention that there are about 7 different, mutually incompatible, explanations for why they lost floating around. They moved too far left, they moved too far right, the candidate was a black woman, they did too much identity politics, they dropped their main candidate, they didn't run a primary...

Some commenters said that "The party should become more bigoted to win back voters" is something that comes up after every election, and maybe so. I'm not getting too attached to it right now since these people are quite obviously grasping desperately. Still, this election wasn't like others.

And this McBride thing, it's so depressing. Demoralization and defeat right from the get-go. Like forget about pragmatics, what about will and vigour? Since they're so concerned about their image, how do they think this looks to other people? People, that is, who are not afterglowing on their own election-hype like they are. Why would I trust you? I wouldn't even want to be near you. It would be bad for my mental health. Shit like this seriously makes me nauseated and contemptuous of them, of their plain existence. Lifeless, bloodless, like they're committed to a slow death.

(And yes I have heard that this is supposedly a very very clever strategy by McBride to whatever I can't even listen to the end of the argument. So pathetically desperate.)
