saw The Accountant in an airplane, the only way I'd bother watching something like that, and it was surprisingly enjoyable, with a high WTF quotient
also saw Agnes Varda's Le Bonheur last night, gave me a bit to think about, merits a second go soon

664Not into Musicals but I am into Shirley Maclaine so maybe I'll check that out.Wood Goblin wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:40 amLove that movie.Kniferide wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:08 am Watched The nights of Cabiria last night. It's pretty great.
The musical version that Bob Fosse made in the 1960s, Sweet Charity, isn’t too bad either.

665I tried with Smile 2 but didn't finish it. Will attempt the completion soon but for the most part I thought it was hella boring. Reluctantly went into the original and liked it a lot more than I expected, so....
Abigail rocked. Loved it. Super entertaining, and for a movie that had mass appeal there were some good creepy bits sprinkles amongst the action and comedy.

667It's What's Inside is decent low-budget sci-fi, and a good revenge flick. Remembered Randy writing about it somewhere around here. Thanks Randy!
Re: Movies you have watched thread.
668So angered at Conclave's fucking terrible last ten minutes that I'm sorely tempted to do the minimal work required to make a cut that works. It was seriously shaping up to be one of the best films I've seen in a long time.

669Armageddon, the little known but influential heavily scientific take on threat of human extinction from 1998 starring Bruce Willis.
The first 1/3 or so was a solid 2.8 out of 10, I kind of enjoyed the dumbness. Once they went to space it was just Things Dramatically Failing and Things Exploding all filmed by a constantly moving camera, which was 100% to be expected from the visionary director Micheal Bay, but it still made my head ache, the whole thing seemed to last 4 hours. 1 out of 10.
