Caught up on a couple of things this weekend.
I can't blame
Heretic for not having a good ending, since it's endemic in the genre. Up to that point it is great, and much smarter than expected.
Queer was unexpectedly straight to start with (given this is Burroughs) but eventually went properly peculiar. A good film, but nearly ruined by an absolutely
terrible soundtrack. Like enduring a middle aged bore dropping in 'deep cuts' from
Nirvana (because Cobain knew Burroughs?

) and
New Order (I've got no rationale there) to spoil your viewing pleasure. Still, a steady diet of tequila and heroin apparently keeps you buff so there's hope for us all.
