He broadcast through last season. Team members were all choked up after talking to him in the locker room after the knock-out loss to the Mets. I think they knew he wouldn't be coming back.

I'm not finding anything currently but I know he's had health struggles recently. Obviously a massive loss if true.

I went to the Chicago Comic Con in 91 and besides comics, I went to one of the little tables that sold bootleg movies. I was shocked to discover I could buy the uncut Friday the 13th and Evil Dead. The dude working the table could see I was buzzing around and totally stoked at all these weird movies. When I went to pay, the dude snuck in a copy of Eraserhead. It proceeded to knock my whole head straight off, never saw/heard a movie like that before. Very foundational in my love of the odd and strange.

Crap
